Don't Let Menopause Steal Your Soul

It is very important for me to admit up front that I am not a physician, ain't been to medical school, nursing training, or anything remotely related (although I did complete a First Aid class at summer camp before I got thrown out for that little incident with the firecrackers).... so absolutely nothing you may find on this website can be classified as"giving medical advice". I do not pretend in any shape or form, that I can or should give medical advice. This site is, instead... MY STORY; and since in knowing my story you will discover that I went through hell (and quite unnecessarily, I might add) - and since I saved my own life (with precious little thanks to the traditional medical community), I feel compelled to try and save as many other women as I can from this same fate.

Because... there are literally thousands of women out there (10-15% of menopausal women) who have not the patience/stamina/hope, the finances or the proximity to the proper type of medical care - to get through a Bad Menopause without the help of other women.

So, what I do plan to offer through this site are three things I myself could not find during the five years I was desperately trying to navigate the treacherous waters of a very, very Bad Menopause experience...

1) Truthful, comprehensive information about ALL the possible symptoms of Menopause (especially the ones your doctor didn't tell you about - or quite frankly doesn't even know are connected with menopause/hormonal changes),

2) Woman-to-Woman recommendations about what you might try, and equally important... what you should never do (based on my personal experience, the experiences of many, many other women in my survey, and also upon intensive research), and most importantly, ...

3) Hope.
Hope can be the thing that will actually save your life during a Bad Menopause experience; but so many doctors take that away from a woman by patting her on the head and suggesting that she "...just learn to live with it...". But who can just learn to live with symptoms so severe that some days you just don't want to live at all?
I know, because I saw no less than 19 different physicians in my search for help... OBGYN's, Endochrinologists, GP's, Nurse Practitioners, and also a great Naturopath.

This is the year 2007, in the 21st century. Women do not have to learn to live with this crap because there is hope, there is help, there is change...... there is tomorrow and it's going to be a beautiful day.

The Medusa Was In Menopause.Com was envisioned with the hope of saving you, your friends, your sisters and your mothers from a similar fate. Contained in the wonderful colors, text and illustrations on this site is my story - but if you or someone you know is having a truly Bad Menopause experience... my story doesn't need to be YOUR story. Please don't let Menopause steal your soul.
